Free Weight Loss Calculator

I don't like counting calories. Although some people swear by it, I find it much too rigid and too much of a hassle.

Even so, I find this calculator to be very useful. I like how it shows the important role that a good exercise plan plays in trying to lose weight. I find it very motivating.

To see what I mean, play around with it a bit. Keep all the values the same except change the amount of exercise that you input into the calculator. Then compare the difference in caloric intake it computes.

For example, before I lost weight  my inputs were as follows:
Female, 31 years old, 5 ft. 3 in.,150 lbs., Wanted to lose 30 lbs in 6 months.

Now, keeping these values the same, look at the difference in caloric intake when all you change is the activity level.

Wow! Going from a sedentary lifestyle (which is what I had before) to moderate exercise (which is where I am now), lets me eat an additional 500 calories. More food, less weight. Now that's a win-win situation!
